It’s that time of year when our animal companions ponder the future and their existence in the vast spaceness of the world. Here at Humble Little Pets, we got curious and asked a few of our friends what would they would like to change for 2021.
Conan
Humble Little Pets: What’s your New Year’s resolution?
Conan: To finally catch my tail. My human takes me out to play catch and we spend lots of time outdoors. But for some reason, I’ll get distracted. I’m running. I’m running. I’m running. And then, WHAT’S THAT! OH YOU AGAIN. My tail. It just keeps wagging being all happy there by itself waiting for me. Teasing me.
I will get you this year, tail!
HLP: Yes, you will!
Dog: *cuddles HLP, suddenly sees tail and chases*
HLP: Good boy.
Max
HLP: What’s your New Year’s Resolution?
Max: I would like my human to finally feed me.
HLP: Don’t they feed you?
Max: No.
HLP: I see your bowl right there. It’s full.
Max: It was a different time.
HLP: What?
Max: Do you have a treat? Purr Purr Purr.
HLP: I just gave you one before the interview.
Max: No, you didn’t.
HLP: I’m pretty sure I did.
Cat: I said what I said.
Pepper
HLP: What’s your New Year’s Resolution?
Parrot: I’m a pretty bird.
HLP: Why, yes you are! *scritches* But what would you like to change in the New Year?
Parrot: *whistles*
HLP: Sounds serious!
Parrot: I’m a pretty bird.
Sherlock
HLP: What’s your New Year’s resolution?
Cat: I would like to make an actual biscuit. I find myself kneading and picking at my human’s blankets. I could totally do that to make a yummy biscuit.
HLP: Do you have a recipe in mind for the biscuit?
Cat: Recipe? What’s that?
HLP: A recipe is a set of instructions….
Cat: Wait. I have to follow instructions?
HLP: Yes.
Cat: *judgemental stare*
Cleo
HLP: What’s your New Year’s resolution?
Cleo: I would like to keep my scent on everything. Like finally keep it everywhere! Cover my home in fur and love and meeeeee.
HLP: A home decorator, I see.
Cleo: Oh yes! But my human keeps vacuuming and cleaning, undoing all of my work! I’m never finished! This year I will finish.
HLP: What will you do to assure that it gets done?
Cleo: My plans include distracting them with my ultimate weapon!
HLP: Which is?
Cleo: My cute stare! See? *makes epic puppy eyes*
HLP: Oh my I am so lost in your eyes. I just want to squish you! WHY ARE SO CUTE?
Cleo: Ok, you ponder that while I rub myself all over your sweater.
